Synopsis
Mizuki, a low-rung company employee in early 60s Japan, becomes the unwitting caretaker of Kitaro, a mysterious boy who is born of two worlds: the living and the dead. As Kitaro navigates the strange dealings of humanity, the yokai that have been sleeping for time immemorial begin to make their appearance...

Born in a cemetery, Kitaro is the last survivor of the ghost tribe. Raised by a human father, Mizuki, and accompanied by his biological father reincarnated as an eyeball, Medama Oyaji, the young Kitaro will have to learn to live in this world governed by science where yokai no longer have a place in popular belief.
